SCHOOL
CLEAN UP DAY
We
will be holding a work day
on Saturday, August 23rd
beginning at 9:00 am, to
sweep the upper parking
lot, pull weeds, trim
trees, clean carpets, wash
windows, clean up the
halls and classrooms, do
some touch-up painting,
mount shelves, and more.
Bring any tools or
cleaning supplies that may
be helpful.
ICE
CREAM SOCIAL & SCHOOL
ORIENTATION
We will have an
orientation for families
of children in grades K-8
on Wednesday, August 20.
We will begin at
7:00 in the gym, where
Principal Rathje will talk
about the school year.
The children (and
parents) will then go to
their classrooms, find
their desk, etc.
You can also buy
lunch and milk tickets at
this time.
This will be
followed by the annual Ice
Cream Social in the
Commons. The
ice cream will be
provided. Each
family is asked to bring a
topping to share.
PRESCHOOL
ORIENTATION
The Preschool
orientation days will be
Thursday, August 21, at
6:30 pm, Sunday, August
24, at 11:30 am, and
Tuesday, August 26, at
6:30 pm. Choose
the day that works best
for you.

teachers and helpers all
and any hours between 6:30
am and 5:30 pm.
The after-school
care program needs
supervisors from 3:30 to
5:00 pm for grades 1-8.

We are in need of a
part-time janitor (about 9
hours per week.)

FOR SUMMER SERVICES
Our worship
services this summer are
focusing on lessons from
the book of Matthew.
Next week’s
sermon will be on Matthew
16:21-26 (Giving up our
way for God’s way.)
FIRST
DAY OF SCHOOL
Classes will begin
at St. Paul’s Ev.
Lutheran School and
Preschool on Monday,
August 25, at 8:15.
All are invited to
attend the opening service
held in the church at
8:15. School
will dismiss at 11:30 on
opening day.
SUNDAY
SCHOOL TEACHERS
Workshops
will be held on Monday,
August 25 from 6:45-7:30
and Tuesday, August 26
from 5:00-5:45.
Please note the
time changes. We
will finish up planning
for the school year and
work on the first lesson
of the year.
SUNDAY
SCHOOL REGISTRATION
This
year we will be
registering each child for
Sunday School so that we
have proper information
for the children.
The teachers will
also be handing out brief
bios to the parents so
that parents and teachers
get to know one another a
little bit better.
Registration forms
are on the back table.
You may fill them
out and leave them in the
box provided.
CHURCH
CAMPOUT
The St. Paul’s
Church campout will be at
Angostora Reservoir on
September 5th-7th
(Friday night through
Sunday morning.)
Each family will
pay for their own campsite
($12 - $16). This
recreation offers fun for
all including parks,
boating, swimming,
fishing, Frisbee golf,
hiking, campfire
gatherings, and more.
